Olympia Marriage Intensives
For couples who feel stuck
Structural change we were actually excited about.
"We wanted structural change that we were actually excited about and committed to making happen. The retreat acted as a crucible—a concentrated, safe place where we could finally talk with candor about the things that were hard to hear. We walked away feeling truly heard, with a clear plan for our future."
Husband, RESTORE Intensive
Three Pathways Tailored To Your Reality
Every relationship is incredibly complex, which is why we don't use a one-size-fits-all approach or group retreat settings. Your time in Sequim is entirely private—just you, your partner, and a therapist. This allows us to move at your pace, tailor our clinical work to your specific dynamic, and create a safe enough environment to finally talk about the things you’ve been avoiding.
Depending on what your marriage needs right now, we offer three distinct frameworks:

(The Marriage Intensive)
For couples in pain who want to repair the foundation.
This pathway is for couples who feel stuck in exhausting cycles of conflict, are constantly walking on eggshells, or are trying to navigate the heavy aftermath of a betrayal or infidelity. We provide a highly structured, emotionally safe space to slow down, stop the bleeding, and begin the hard work of rebuilding trust and emotional safety without the arguments spinning out of control.
(The Relational Tune-Up)
For couples experiencing the "slow drift."
This is for couples who aren't necessarily in an active crisis, but have realized they are living more like roommates and co-managers than romantic partners. If the friendship, affection, or curiosity has faded under the weight of busy careers, parenting, and daily logistics, this pathway offers dedicated time to realign your values, break bad habits, and proactively reconnect before quiet resentment has a chance to build.
(Divorce Discernment Counseling)
For couples at a painful crossroads.
This pathway is specifically for marriages where one or both partners are actively considering separation or divorce. We take the pressure to "fix the marriage" completely off the table. Through a mix of joint conversations and private 1-on-1 breakout sessions, our only goal is to provide a neutral, objective, and pressure-free space for you to evaluate the reality of the relationship and find absolute clarity on your best path forward.
Frequently Asked Questions
Weekly therapy is wonderful for maintenance, but it is often inefficient for acute crises. Couples who travel to Everwell typically complete 14 hours of clinical focus in a single weekend. It allows us to open a heavy topic, explore the family-of-origin wounds driving it, and actually resolve it in one sitting, without having to wait until next Tuesday.
We offer all-inclusive packages where you stay at one of our private, luxury waterfront properties on Sequim Bay (like the Still Water Cliff House or Cottage). You have the entire home to yourselves for the weekend. We also offer a clinical-only option if you prefer to book your own local hotel. Click here to see our accomodations.
We are a private-pay institute and do not bill insurance directly. Because of the multi-day format (and included lodging on select packages), intensives are an out-of-pocket investment in the survival of your family. However, we can provide a "Superbill" for the direct clinical therapy hours, which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

It's Hard to Reconnect in the Middle of the Rush.
Between the heavy pace of careers in the capital, the daily commuter grind, and the demands of raising a family, it is incredibly easy to feel like you have zero emotional bandwidth left for your relationship at the end of the day. Couples from the Olympia area often reach out to us when standard weekly counseling begins to feel too rushed.
Weekly therapy is a great tool, but when you are navigating a deeply painful season in your marriage, trying to unpack years of complicated patterns in a 50-minute window is incredibly difficult. Right when you finally feel safe enough to get to the heart of the matter, the hour is up—leaving you to jump right back into traffic feeling raw and unresolved. Sometimes, you just need more runway to actually finish the conversation.
The Everwell Difference
It is incredibly hard to change the dynamic of a relationship when you are caught in the daily grind.
Between the pace of the city, the commute, work demands, and managing a household, your nervous system is often running on fumes. Trying to untangle years of history while keeping all those plates spinning usually just leaves couples feeling more exhausted.
That is why we ask our clients to physically step away. By traveling a couple of hours out to our retreat homes on the Olympic Peninsula, you create a physical boundary between your marriage and your daily stress. The quiet of the water and the change of pace simply give your bodies a chance to exhale. We aren't miracle workers, but we provide the uninterrupted time, the clinical structure, and a highly supportive space to help you slow down, look honestly at the patterns keeping you stuck, and begin the hard work of finding your way back to each other.

The Journey to Sequim
Your intensive does not start when you sit on our couch; it starts the moment you leave Olympia. The trip to the Olympic Peninsula is intentionally designed to help your nervous system transition from the chaos of the city into a place of rest.
The Route: From Olympia, couples head directly north up the scenic Highway 101 corridor. Watching the landscape shift from the busy I-5 corridor to the quiet of the Olympic Peninsula acts as a physical and mental threshold, allowing you to leave work and home behind.
The Drive: It is a beautiful, straightforward 2-hour drive to our clinical office and private retreat homes on the coast.
The Destination: Sequim sits uniquely in the "Blue Hole" rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. This gives us significantly more clear, sunny days than the rest of the Pacific Northwest—providing a bright, grounding environment for deep emotional work.
