The Diagnosis

Is this right for us?

You aren’t in crisis. You don’t fight all the time. On paper, you are an excellent team—the bills get paid, the kids get fed, and the household runs smoothly.

But somewhere in the busyness of life, you shifted from Partners to Project Managers.

RESET is for you if:

  • You feel like you’re living parallel lives under the same roof.

  • Conversations are mostly logistical (schedules, chores, kids).

  • You miss the friendship and curiosity you used to have.

  • You want to get on the same page about money, parenting, or the future, but can’t find the time to talk about it without being interrupted.

The Philosophy

Maintenance is Easier Than Repair.

Most couples wait until the "engine is smoking" to take the relationship in for service. RESET is the opposite. It is a proactive, preventative experience designed to catch the "drift" before it turns into distance. Think of this as an annual physical for your marriage—but with better views, deeper conversation, and a clear plan for the year ahead. We combine clinical insight with the refreshment of a retreat.

The Itinerary

A balance of structured work and intentional connection.

PRE-RETREAT: The Pulse Check
(1 Week Prior | 30-Min Zoom)
We hop on a quick call to identify your current "friction points." Parenting stress? Career changes? Tech burnout? Intimacy issues? We build the weekend agenda around your specific life season.

FRIDAY EVENING: The Foundation
We bypass the daily logistics to revisit the friendship that started it all. We clear the air of minor irritants and shift the atmosphere from "management mode" to "connection mode."

SATURDAY MORNING: The Alignment
We tackle the friction points—money, intimacy, technology, and roles—using structured tools like the Speaker/Listener Technique. We clear the debris so your relationship can run smoothly again.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON: The Everwell Date
No therapist. No walls.
After a morning of work, we send you out. You are given the Everwell Alignment Deck—a curated guide of questions designed to spark dreaming and laughter.

  • The Task: Hike the Olympic Discovery Trail, kayak Sequim Bay, or grab coffee in Port Townsend.

  • The Rule: No talk of schedules or kids. Just you and the future.

SUNDAY MORNING: The Vision
We turn the weekend’s conversations into a 12-Month Roadmap. We look at your actual calendar and schedule "Rituals of Connection"—guardrails that ensure you don't drift back into roommate mode when you get home.

Frequently Asked Questions

THE EXPERIENCE

"We aren't 'therapy people.' Will this feel weird?"
Not at all. We design our intensives to feel less like a clinical appointment and more like a focused workshop or coaching experience. You won’t be staring at a wall analyzing your childhood for three days straight. The sessions are structured, active, and tool-based. We focus on where you are now and where you want to go.

"What if we get into a huge fight during the weekend?"
That is actually okay—and often helpful. It is better to have that conflict here, in a safe container where a professional can help you navigate it, than to have it in your kitchen at 10 PM with no resolution. We are trained to de-escalate tension and turn conflict into clarity. You will not be left "hanging" in a fight.

"Is this group therapy? Will we have to share with others?"
No. These are Private Weekends. It is just you, your partner, and the therapist. You will never be asked to share your story with strangers. The only "group" aspect is that you are on the same team.

"How is this different from weekly counseling?"
Weekly counseling is great for maintenance, but it can be hard to change deep patterns in 50-minute increments. By the time you start getting to the root issue, the hour is up. An intensive offers the gift of time. We can open a topic, unpack it fully, and resolve it in a single sitting. We often accomplish 4–6 months of work in a single weekend.

LOGISTICS & LODGING

"Where exactly do we stay?"
You will stay in one of our exclusive partner properties on the Olympic Peninsula. These aren't random rentals; they are private, high-quality homes selected for their comfort and quiet. You will have the entire property to yourselves—no hosts, no shared spaces. We handle the booking; you just receive the door code.

"Do we need a car?"
Yes. You will need a vehicle to travel between your lodging, the session location (if different), and your Saturday afternoon activity spots. The area is beautiful to drive through, but it is not walkable in terms of transit.

"Is food included?"
To give you maximum flexibility and privacy, meals are not included. Your retreat residence has a full kitchen for slow mornings, and we provide a curated guide to our favorite local restaurants for lunch and dinner. This allows you to choose your own budget and vibe for meals.

CLINICAL & SAFETY

"Is there anyone this isn't right for?"
Yes. Our intensives are not appropriate for situations involving active, untreated addiction, active domestic violence (fear/safety issues), or active/undisclosed affairs. If you are unsure, book a Clarity Call. We screen for safety to ensure this is the right environment for you.

"What happens after the weekend?"
We don’t send you home empty-handed. You will leave with a specific Maintenance Plan and tools to handle triggers when they arise. If you need ongoing support, we can help you find a therapist in your local area to continue the work, or you can schedule follow-up "booster sessions" with us virtually.

"Can we use insurance?"
We are a private-pay institute and do not bill insurance directly. However, because we are licensed clinicians, we can provide a "Superbill" (an itemized receipt) for the direct therapy hours (typically 8–10 hours) that you may submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We recommend checking with your provider first.
