About Everwell
A Proven Path to Relational Health
Everwell is the result of years spent in the room with couples and a shared conviction that most relationships are capable of profound change—if they are given the right container.
Our foundation was laid in 2011 and 2012 through our respective careers in relational mentorship and clinical psychotherapy. In 2013, we established our first private practice, beginning a journey of supporting families through their most complex seasons. In 2019, we saw the massive demand for a more concentrated approach to repair when we launched and led one of the largest national couples retreats in the country.
The energy from that national event confirmed what our years of practice had already shown us: people are looking for depth, clarity, and a specific plan to move forward. In 2020, we founded Everwell to move beyond the limitations of traditional, weekly counseling. We realized that for deep-seated patterns to be interrupted, the work had to be direct and uninterrupted.
Our style is unfiltered. We believe the truth is the only thing that actually heals. We don’t leave the hard things unsaid, and we don’t settle for artificial harmony. We are here to help you do the work that actually lasts.
Our Team

Lucas Pettengill
Founder & Intensive Therapist
As an LMFTA, Luke blends formal clinical training with over a decade of real-world experience, including launching one of the nation's largest couples retreats in 2019. His therapeutic approach is defined by "Relational Courage"—a direct, intentionally confrontational style that helps clients name what they’ve been avoiding. He doesn't just look at the symptoms; he looks at the system to help couples break free from the past.

Sarah Pettengill
Founder & Intensive Therapist
A practicing clinician since 2012, Sarah Pettengill, LMFTA, founded her first private practice in 2018 before launching Everwell's high-dosage intensive model in 2020. She serves as our clinical anchor, ensuring every experience is grounded in systems theory and attachment research. Sarah specializes in identifying the hidden "Relational Blueprints" that drive conflict, helping couples navigate their most difficult transitions with clarity and confidence.

Patrick & Lydia Kent
Partner Property Owners + Hosts
Patrick and Lydia own and manage the homes where our intensives take place. As longtime caretakers of properties throughout the peninsula, they have a talent for creating environments that feel both stylish and incredibly restful. More importantly, they are generous people with a genuine passion for serving couples. While Luke and Sarah facilitate the clinical work, Patrick and Lydia oversee the hospitality, ensuring your stay is quiet, comfortable, and completely taken care of.
